Terms & Conditions
Non- Attendances (DNA's)
Appointment cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a one-hour deduction from the total allocated training hours, regardless of reason.
Alternatively, it will incur a charge of one hour at our hourly rate of $100 plus GST per hour.
Non-attendance includes cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session, or failure to attend ('no-show').
We will tell the referrer or payer about any non-attendance straight away.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule a training session at no extra charge, as long as you give more than 24 hours' notice.
Either party can end the whole training programme by giving written notice. If that happens, we will invoice for all training delivered up to that point, and any leased laptop must be returned within seven days.
Return terms are set out below.
GST & Pricing
All prices and fees in these terms and in any quote are exclusive of GST unless we state otherwise.
GST is added at the current IRD rate.
Payment terms
1. Payment is due within 14 days of the date of invoice.
2. Any account not paid by the due date is overdue. An administration fee of $40 applies to each overdue account, to cover the cost of following it up.
3. The customer is responsible for all costs Putty incurs in recovering an overdue account, including debt collection fees and legal costs.
4. Where training runs over an extended period, Putty will invoice by progress claim rather than 100% on completion. Where training crosses a calendar month end, Putty will invoice for the work done to that point, with further progress claims as the training continues. Each progress claim is due within 14 days of the date of invoice.
5. These terms apply to all services Putty supplies, unless Putty has agreed different terms with the customer in writing.
Computer equipment & Microsoft Office subscription
Clients completing computer training will need access to a computer or laptop that has a current version of Microsoft Office installed on it.
If they do not, we will quote one of the following options, based on the client's situation:
Lease Laptop. The client returns this when their training finishes and signs a lease laptop agreement at the start of the lease. The client is liable for any damage.
Supply and install of a 12-month Microsoft Office subscription on the client's computer or laptop.
Supply and set-up of a laptop package, including a basic laptop, a wireless mouse, and a 12-month Microsoft Office subscription.
When we install software on a client's personal laptop, if any challenges come up during installation, we will stop and talk through other options.
Putty takes no responsibility for any damage to the client's computer caused by software installation.
Putty requires a consent form, signed by the client, before we install any software on their computer or laptop. This includes temporary applications like TeamViewer or Zoom, where Putty installs or helps with the installation remotely.
At the end of the supplied subscription, the client can choose to buy their own Microsoft Office subscription directly from Microsoft or the subscription will expire.
Please note lease laptops are subject to availability, and we often have waitlists on them.
Lease Laptops
The lease fee is set out in your quote. The client is liable for loss or damage while the laptop is in their care, up to the cost of repair or, where it cannot be repaired, the cost of replacement.
If a leased laptop is not returned within seven days of training finishing, being cancelled, or being placed on hold beyond four weeks, we will charge the full replacement cost of the laptop.
Training put ON HOLD
If training is placed on hold, the weekly laptop lease fee keeps running.
For holds longer than four weeks, the laptop must be returned.
When training resumes, rental charges restart, and quotes may need adjusting for any extra weeks.
Privacy
The referrer or funder shares the client's personal information with Putty so we can carry out the assessment and training. Putty holds this information and uses it to deliver the training and to report back to the referrer or funder. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
If a client wants to see information that came from the referrer or funder, we will refer that request to the referrer or funder, who holds and controls it. For information Putty itself creates about the client, the client can contact us and we will respond in line with the Privacy Act.
